About Me

Greetings!

Thank you for visiting my site. My name is Neresia Osbourne, and I am an Integrative Counsellor and Therapeutic Coach. With extensive training and experience, I support individuals of all genders, ages, races, abilities, beliefs, and life statuses. I work with various issues and offer face-to-face or online sessions tailored to your needs.

About Me

  • Accredited Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy                           Society (MNCPS)
  • Registered Member of BACP (Reg) Therapist and Coach
  • Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (GMBPS)
  • Special Needs Life Coach Consultant
  • Aspiring Counselling Psychologist and Existential Therapist (PsychD Candidate)

Specialisms

My expertise lies in supporting parents, carers, siblings, and women who have experienced:

  • Traumatic Birth Experiences (TBI)
  • Birth Trauma and Birth Injuries, including cases that result in brain-injured babies
  • Navigating the responsibilities of caring for children, young people, or adults with complex disabilities and special needs

As a mother of twins, including one with complex needs and disabilities, I bring a unique perspective shaped by my lived experiences. I understand the profound challenges of caring for a disabled child while navigating systems of support and ensuring the needs of siblings are also met.

Advocacy and Justice

I am a  Court-Appointed Deputy and registered practitioner Case Manager. I specialise in the complexities of birth and brain injuries affecting babies and mothers—my practice centres on advocating for justice, particularly for women of colour, navigating these challenging arenas.

Black Twin Mother and Babies

My "Why" The Back Story

With Pain Comes Strength

I was overjoyed when I discovered I was expecting twins. It was my first pregnancy—a miracle I had wished and prayed for. I know you may ask, "Who does that?" But I did. I loved babies, and I adored twins. I eagerly anticipated every moment of becoming a mother, ready to embrace the joy and challenges that awaited.

But life had other plans. After an uneventful pregnancy, my full-term babies were delivered. Tragically, due to negligent circumstances, my first twin suffered catastrophic brain injuries from which he never recovered.

My life was transformed in an instant. I was no longer just a new mother to twins but someone navigating a multi-faceted reality shaped by disability and adversity. I quickly learned to navigate the complexities of accessing services, gathering information, and equipping myself with the knowledge I needed to support my son, family, and myself.

Over the last 18 years, I have met countless families who have walked a similar path. Though our journeys differ, we share the profound connection of parenting children with complex needs and the unique challenges and triumphs that come with it.

Through my personal experiences, I came to understand the critical importance of having support systems in place—services that empower families, provide guidance, and offer therapy and coaching to help navigate the ever-changing dynamics of life.

Today, I am dedicated to supporting others, offering empathy, expertise, and a safe space for families to heal and thrive as they face their own unique journeys.

Therapeutic Coaching

Therapeutic Coaching: Empowering Growth and Transformation

Therapeutic coaching is a powerful and dynamic approach that blends the depth of therapy with forward-focused coaching strategies. Integrating therapeutic techniques with a coaching framework addresses immediate challenges and the underlying emotional and psychological patterns that may be holding you back. It empowers you to explore your strengths, clarify your goals, and overcome barriers with purpose and confidence. Together, we create a safe, supportive space where you can align your values with actionable steps, fostering growth, resilience, and meaningful change in your life. Whether navigating complex life transitions, striving for personal development, or seeking clarity in your direction, therapeutic coaching offers a transformative path to achieving your fullest potential.

Collaborating with Charities, Organisations and Professionals

I work closely with charities, organizations, and various professional bodies to enhance their support for parents, carers, and service users with Special Needs and Disabilities (SEND). My approach is rooted in fostering collaboration, understanding, and sustainable solutions tailored to the unique needs of families and individuals.

Using a combination of integrative therapy, therapeutic coaching, and the Personal Consultancy Model, I provide targeted support that helps organizations improve their services, communication, and overall impact. My work includes:

  • Supporting Professionals: Empowering caseworkers, social workers, and care staff to understand better the emotional and psychological needs of families with SEND.
  • Improving Engagement: Offering training and workshops to improve how organizations connect with parents, carers, and service users.
  • Goal-Oriented Strategies: Assisting teams in setting and achieving clear, meaningful objectives that benefit families and service users.
  • Building Resilience: Helping professionals manage the emotional demands of working with SEND families, enabling them to provide more effective and compassionate care.

Specialized Support for SEND Families

My collaboration extends to working directly with parents and carers of children and young adults with complex needs. By bridging the gap between service providers and families, I ensure that services are accessible and impactful.

I also offer concessionary packages for charities and care agencies, recognizing the need for affordable, high-quality support within this sector.

Please don't hesitate to contact me for tailored programs or to discuss how we can collaborate. Together, we can create a more muscular, compassionate system for supporting SEND families and their unique journeys.
